The November trip was led by Brad Taylor and Linda Kennedy, with team members Ann Taylor, Gayle Aspinwall, Bob Keene, and Sue Burgos, Carlos Mandujano and Leonardo Zelaya. The major focus of this trip was to advance the dental program in El Rosario. Dentist Bob Keene led a survey of the clinic layout, equipment, plumbing, electrical system, and refrigeration equipment and arranged for various follow-up tasks. In addition the team interviewed two dentists, candidates for the position of becoming the El Rosario dentist on a regular basis and made several useful contacts with dental professionals in San Pedro Sula. Dr. Keene saw patients in the new dental clinic throughout his stay in El Rosario. The team met with the Clinic Committee; transported, inventoried and stocked clinic medications; saw patients in the clinic and in their homes; delivered clothing and other items to those in high need; and started on plans for the spring Fuerza team trip.
